1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Rewear, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

2. About Rewear

Rewear is a peer-to-peer marketplace operated by Rewear Limited (RC 9084479), a company registered in Nigeria. Rewear connects buyers and sellers of pre-loved fashion items.

Rewear is not a bank, financial institution, or licensed payment service provider. We do not hold, store, or manage user funds. All payment processing, including the collection of buyer payments and disbursement of seller payouts, is handled entirely by Paystack Payments Limited, a Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) licensed payment processor. Rewear acts solely as a marketplace facilitator.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use our services. By using Rewear, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, providing accurate information about items listed for sale, and complying with all applicable laws. You agree not to use Rewear for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to listing counterfeit items, stolen goods, or prohibited materials.

5. How Payments Work

When a buyer purchases an item on Rewear, payment is collected and processed by Paystack. Rewear does not collect, hold, or have access to buyer funds at any point.

Payment Security: Buyer payments are secured by Paystack until delivery is confirmed. This means funds are not released to the seller until the buyer confirms receipt of the item or the confirmation window expires.

Seller Payouts: Once a transaction is successfully completed (delivery confirmed), the seller's earnings become available. Sellers can request a payout (cash out) to their linked bank account. Payouts are processed by Paystack and are subject to standard processing times.

Fees: Rewear may charge a service fee on completed transactions. Any applicable fees will be clearly displayed before a transaction is confirmed.

6. Refunds & Disputes

Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy. Buyers must report issues within 48 hours of delivery. Rewear's support team reviews disputes and makes decisions based on the evidence provided by both parties.

If a refund is approved, it is processed via Paystack to the buyer's original payment method. Rewear reserves the right to make the final decision on all disputes.

7. Prohibited Activities

You may not use Rewear to:

• List counterfeit, stolen, or prohibited items
• Engage in fraudulent transactions or misrepresent items
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Circumvent the platform's payment system
• Use the platform for money laundering or any illegal financial activity
• Create multiple accounts for deceptive purposes

8. Listing & Seller Obligations

Sellers must accurately describe the condition of items, including any defects or wear. Sellers are responsible for shipping items within the agreed timeframe and ensuring that items match their listing descriptions. Failure to do so may result in disputes, refunds, or account suspension.

9. Limitation of Liability

Rewear is a marketplace facilitator and is not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of items listed by sellers. Rewear is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our platform. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount of fees you have paid to Rewear in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Account Suspension & Termination

Rewear reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or are the subject of repeated valid complaints. If your account is terminated, any pending payouts will be processed in accordance with applicable laws and our obligations.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on Rewear, including the name, logo, design, and software, is the property of Rewear Limited. Users retain ownership of content they upload (photos, descriptions) but grant Rewear a non-exclusive license to use such content for operating and promoting the platform.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Rewear shall be resolved through arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria, in accordance with the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
