Welcome to Rewear ("we," "our," or "us"). We operate a secondhand fashion marketplace that connects buyers and sellers of pre-loved clothing and accessories. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using Rewear, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Service.

Information We Collect

Personal Information

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you:

• Register for an account
• List items for sale
• Make purchases
• Communicate with other users
• Contact our support team

This includes:

• Name — Your first and last name for account identification and transaction purposes
• Email Address — For account verification, notifications, and communication
• Phone Number — For account security, delivery coordination, and optional two-factor authentication
• Address — Shipping and billing addresses for completing transactions

Financial Information

• Payment Information — When you make purchases or receive payments, we collect payment details processed through our secure payment partners (e.g., Paystack). We do not store complete credit card numbers on our servers.

Location Information

• Approximate Location — To show you relevant listings in your area and calculate shipping estimates
• Precise Location — When you enable location services, to improve local search results and facilitate in-person transactions (with your explicit consent)

Photos and Videos

• Photos — Images you upload of items for sale, profile pictures, and any images shared in communications
• Videos — Video content you may upload to showcase items

Contacts

• Contacts — Only when you explicitly choose to invite friends to the platform or share listings via your contact list (with your permission)

Technical Information

• Crash Logs — Information about app crashes to help us identify and fix technical issues
• Diagnostics — Performance data and error reports to improve app stability
• Device or Other IDs — Device identifiers, advertising IDs, and similar information for analytics and fraud prevention

Connected Social Accounts

Rewear is an online commerce platform that helps fashion and lifestyle sellers manage and grow their businesses. Sellers may choose to connect their own Instagram professional account (Business or Creator) to their Rewear storefront using our Social Connect features. Sellers start this connection themselves, and use these social commerce features to manage how their Instagram presence connects with their Rewear business. It is entirely optional — Rewear works fully without it, and connecting is never required to buy, sell, or be paid.

Connecting is done through Instagram's own login screen. You authenticate directly with Instagram and grant Rewear access there. Rewear never asks for, receives, or stores your Instagram password. Instagram only ever gives us access to the account you personally signed in with.

Information We Receive From Instagram

• Profile information — Your Instagram account identifier, username, account type, and the number of posts on the account. We use this to identify and link your Instagram account to your Rewear storefront, to confirm the account is a professional account, to show you which account is connected, and to ensure one Instagram account is linked to only one Rewear seller.
• Posts and media — The caption, photos, media type, permalink, and date of posts on your account. We use these to build draft listings for you to review. Captions supply a suggested title, description, and price; photos become the listing images.
• Messages and comments — Messages and comments on your own account, so that you can keep up with buyer questions about your listings from within Rewear.
• An access token — A credential issued by Instagram that lets Rewear make these requests on your behalf. It is stored encrypted at rest, is never exposed to your device or to any other user, and expires approximately 60 days after it is issued.

How We Use It

We only access information you have authorized, and we use it solely to provide the Social Connect features you asked for, within the Rewear platform — that is, to create draft listings for your review, to keep those listings working after you publish them, and to surface buyer messages and comments about them. We process post captions and images using an automated system in order to suggest listing details and to apply the same content moderation rules that govern every other listing on Rewear.

What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell, rent, license, or otherwise share Instagram data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party.
• We do not use Instagram data for advertising, ad targeting, or building profiles for advertising purposes.
• We do not post, comment, delete, follow, or send anything from your Instagram account.
• We do not access any Instagram account other than the one you signed in with.

Retention and Disconnecting

Photos remain on Instagram's servers until you approve a listing. Only at that point do we copy the images to Rewear's own storage, so that your published listing continues to work independently of Instagram.

You can disconnect at any time from Settings → Connected accounts in the Rewear app, or by revoking Rewear from Instagram's own settings. When you disconnect, we immediately destroy the stored access token and stop requesting any data from your Instagram account. Draft listings you never approved are deleted. Listings you already published remain on your storefront, because they are your own listings and no longer depend on Instagram.

Deleting your Rewear account erases everything imported from Instagram along with the rest of your account data. See Data Deletion below.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Send you notifications about your listings, purchases, and account activity
• Provide customer support
• Improve and personalize your experience
• Analyze usage patterns to enhance our Service

• Send promotional communications (with your consent)

How We Share Your Information

We may share your information with:

Other Users

• Sellers see buyer shipping addresses to fulfill orders
• Buyers see seller display names and general location
• Users you communicate with see your messages and shared content

Service Providers

We share information with third-party vendors who assist us in:

• Payment processing
• Shipping and logistics
• Cloud hosting and data storage
• Analytics and performance monitoring
• Customer support tools
• Marketing and advertising (with your consent)

Business Partners

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Deletion

Upon receiving a valid deletion request, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal or legitimate business purposes (e.g., transaction records for tax compliance).

You can manage your notification preferences in the app settings. You may opt out of promotional emails by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email.

Location Services

You can enable or disable location services through your device settings at any time.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. We may retain certain information after account deletion for:

• Legal compliance and record-keeping requirements

• Resolving disputes and enforcing our agreements

Children's Privacy

Rewear is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
